Udaan, as the name suggests, is a flight. For the GFMB students of S P Jain School of Global Management, Udaan means a flight of possibilities, spirit and exploration. Celebrated every year as the Global FMB fest, Udaan has always been the final ice-breaker for a life-long bonding between the next generation of family businessmen and women from across the industries and cities. On the 24th and 25th of January, the GFMB Batch-6 students undertook a journey to overcome not just the external barriers, but internal ones too.
The treasure hunt was, as usual, the best and the most important attraction and life-changer, in which the students completed tasks which were seemingly impossible and difficult. They did this by their own zeal, enthusiasm, connections, network, persuasive power and convincing abilities. Divided into five teams, the students had to present global business plans, in which each team had to come up with a business idea in five different countries. Each team put in intense effort and made the business plan as close to reality as possible, and in this process, learnt about other countries and the possibilities of doing business together.
The students then organised the drama, which was based on five of the most influential families of India. This activity came up remarkably well with a tremendous opportunity to learn for growing and taking family business to the next level. This was followed by the dance, which was based on five film stars. Even when one of the teams faced difficulty in the audio, the entire crowd sang along and helped them
Udaan completes the Global FMB program, and the students proved that.
