A recent visit to Taj Rambagh Palace and Sawai Man Mahal, two of India’s heritage hotels in Jaipur, offered students from the Hospitality Business Leadership (HBL) program a two-day immersive learning experience in luxury hospitality. The visit gave students firsthand exposure to hotel operations, personalised guest services, fine dining, and wellness tourism.
Day 1: Inside luxury hospitality
The experience began at Taj Rambagh Palace, where students engaged with department heads to gain insights into front office operations, F&B services, and revenue management, with a strong focus on personalised guest itineraries.
They then visited Sawai Man Mahal for a curated Spanish lunch that showcased culinary storytelling and presentation. A guided tour of the property highlighted its architecture and the importance of heritage conservation in luxury hospitality.
The day ended back at Rambagh with a royal dinner at Suvarna Mahal, where students explored fine dining etiquette and the role of storytelling in menu design. Accommodations across both properties offered a firsthand taste of exceptional palace hospitality.
Day 2: Wellness and high tea
The day began at Rambagh Palace’s Wellness Centre with a yoga session, introducing students to the rising trend of wellness tourism. They explored Ayurvedic therapies and spa treatments that blend tradition with modern luxury.
At Sawai Man Mahal, an interactive cocktail-making session offered insights into mixology and personalised beverage service. The visit concluded with an elegant high tea, showcasing the refinement and detail that define luxury hospitality.
The visit ended with a luxurious high tea experience, featuring premium teas and gourmet pastries that demonstrated the elegance and refinement of this tradition.
