On 12th June 2025, in line with their experiential learning journey, Batch 4 students of the Hospitality Business Leadership (HBL) program recently visited the Bombay Sweet Shop, where India’s traditional confectionery is celebrated with a modern twist.
Adding a personal touch to the experience was a conversation with Nikoulina Berg, who heads events and experiences at the store. She warmly welcomed the students and shared the brand’s journey, offering insights into the creative process, customer experience, and the inspiration behind some of their most loved innovations.
Students watched skilled artisans bring sweets to life, carefully boiling syrups, shaping treats by hand, and experimenting pedas with flavours like mango, chocolate, and Biscoff.
A flavour packed tasting experience followed, where students explored house favourites such as the Bhel chikki, Ghee roast sev, the dessert style Rasgulla tiramisu, and the signature Bombay trail mix.
More than just an outing, this visit was a meaningful exploration of how Indian heritage is being reshaped for modern audiences, a lesson in both hospitality innovation and cultural storytelling.
