Batch 11 students of the MGLuxM program visited Vollonne Vineyards – India's first boutique winery, on February 8, 2023. The Vineyard is located in Igatpuri, nestled in the tranquil village of Kavnai near Nashik.

Waiting for our students was Shailendra Paithe - the Vineyard's founder & CEO. He shared his experience building the brand and gave the students a peek into the luxurious wine world. The winemaker-viticulturist then led our students on a vineyard tour, discussing the importance of terroir in determining the grape quality and the practices used in reducing chemicals in cultivating these fine grapes.

At the wine cellar, the students took a winery tour and learnt about the winemaking process for various wines. They also got an option to taste five wines and one limited edition wine – Syrah.

They enjoyed the delicious lunch served at Malaka Spice before concluding the day with a grape stomping session!
