Batch 16 students engage with luxury retail at Scentido

 

On 19th June 2025, as a part of their out-of-class industry engagement, students from the Global Luxury Goods & Services Management (MGLuxM) program visited Scentido, one of India’s leading niche fragrance boutiques at Palladium Mall, Mumbai.

On 19th June 2025, as a part of their out-of-class industry engagement, students from the Global Luxury Goods & Services Management (MGLuxM) program visited Scentido, one of India’s leading niche fragrance boutiques at Palladium Mall, Mumbai.

In smaller groups, students were guided through Scentido’s selection of high-end niche fragrances. With several global brands available in India only through Scentido, the visit offered valuable exposure to rare scents and luxury retail strategies not seen in mainstream perfume outlets.

From scent structures to brand storytelling, students explored the core elements of luxury perfumery, along with factors like ingredient quality, concentration levels, and pricing strategies.

This hands-on experience helped students translate academic theory into practical understanding. They observed how expert product knowledge, brand alignment, and tailored service contribute to a high-end retail experience, while also learning how niche stores like Scentido curate brands and manage exclusivity.

For students aspiring to build careers in luxury brand management, retail, or product curation, this visit was a direct exposure to the standards, strategies, and sensibilities that define success in the luxury industry.
